CONFERENCE INFORMATION AS OF 16TH JUNE
Arrival
On arrival, you will receive a proceedings (one copy), conference bag, pen, notebook, name badge, town guide, and receipt of participation. Do not forget to receive a dinner ticket if you have registered.
Badges
Please wear your conference badge at all times. Its color indicates the following categories: Delegates (green), Staffs (red), and Exhibitors (blue).
Cloak
Cloak service is not available. There is a coin locker at the entrance of the Annex Hall (next to the toilet).
Internet, Business Center
Internet is available at the PC section in front of the reception desk. It is free of charge. No wireless LAN setting is prepared by the organizer. There is also a business center on the way to the Annex Hall in the concourse of Pacifico Yokohama.
Oral Presentations
Oral speakers are requested to bring their presentation file (MS PowerPoint) or their own PC to the PC desk at the side of the main screen during the coffee break before their presentation slot. Our staffs will assist your settings.
Poster Presentations
All posters are displayed throughout the conference in the foyer and the poster room. Each poster board (W90 x H210 cm) is numbered, so do not use a wrong board! Presenters are requested to stand in front of their posters in the following hours:
All numbers 15th, 18:00-20:00
Odd-numbers 16th, 17:20-19:00
Even-numbers 17th, 16:30-18:00
CREST posters 17th, 16:30-18:00
All posters must be removed by 14:00 on 18th. Posters not removed will be discarded by the organizers.

The following luncheon seminars will be held in the main conference room. Lunch will be served for free.

JST¥CREST Workshop 'Plant Metabolism and Its Regulation'
The workshop supported by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) will be held on 17th in the sub conference hall F204. Three Japanese research projects supported by Core Research for Evolutional Science and Technology (CREST) of JST will be introduced in the workshop. Three invited speakers will give lectures on their cutting-edge research projects.
Message Board, Lost & Found
A message board for lost & found and other communications will be provided at the entrance of the poster area.
Smoking Area
Smoking section is limited to the open terrace in front of the reception desk.
Meals and Refreshments
All delegates are invited to the Reception held in the foyer on the first day. No breakfast and lunch are supported by the conference. Coffee and other beverages with small snacks will be served during coffee breaks for free of charge.
Conference Dinner
The conference dinner with traditional Japanese music and dance performance will be held at the banquet hall 'Pacific' (3rd floor) in Hotel Grand Intercontinental Yokohama on 17th. It is separately charged from the conference (8,000 yen / person). Those who have already registered will receive your tickets at the time of registration. Please bring your tickets to the conference dinner and give them to our staff on arrival at the event. The dinner tickets can be purchased at the reception desk.
Optional Excursion
In the last-day afternoon, two excursions are scheduled. Both are free of change and require registration at the reception desk. Since there is a limit, interested delegates are recommended to register early.
- RIKEN Plant Science Center Tour
The bus will depart from the entrance of the conference site at 14:30, and will return to the same place at around 17:30. It includes a guided tour of PSC for about 60 min.
- SANKEI-EN: Traditional Japanese-style Garden Tour
Sankei-en (http://www.sankeien.or.jp/) is about 100-year old, Japanese garden in Yokohama. It was founded by Sankei Hara, a successful businessman and also a tea master, and was later designated as a national, extraordinary scenic beauty. The bus will depart from the entrance of the conference site at 14:30, and will return to the same place at around 17:30. It includes a guided tour of the garden for about 90 min.
Awards
With donation from The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, we are happy to announce the Best Young Scientist's Talk and Poster Presentation. The two awards are open to graduate students and post-doctoral scientists, and each award comes with a trophy and cash. Judging will take place throughout the conference by the international organizing committee, and the award ceremony will take place at the end of the conference.
